Tenerife North AirportThe expansion of the Tenerife North Airport is a work being carried out by the architectural team comprised of Antonio Corona, Arsenio Pérez and Eustaquio Martínez, built by Ferrovial and INECO, has been selected by The New York Museum of Modern Art, MOMA as one of the most representative works of current Spanish architecture. The building has a great richness of shapes and volumes that set apart the different zones and uses. The concept sought has been the maximum transparency possible between the different interior volumes and the maximum luminosity and visual continuity with the outside. The architectural design guarantees conditions to obtain energy efficiency and maintainability. All of these aspects achieved through daytime hours are fulfilled in the evening or when there are insufficient natural light conditions, with the application of lighting systems, designed with the consultancy of Troll, which based their proposal on: energy savings, maintenance, visual comfort, technique and aesthetic. |
