Riddle by Jean Nouvel receives the Design Plus award
The project required a very specific solution: a different kind of light from the functional principles applied nowadays for public lighting systems. The need for an element to make light explode and to make it mix with the shadows, with the natural vegetation of this environment. This concept of a "light explosion" has been achieved through the use of a sphere perforated with holes of varying sizes.
The potential of this new product has been recognised through winning the DESIGN PLUS award at the Light+Building 2008 Trade Fair - an internationally renowned prize associated with the very best quality products.
